Pixel Magick, the mobile phone game developer, are pleased to announce the release Wordsnake AD, a free version of their successful word puzzle game.

Over 20,000 copies of Wordsnake have already been downloaded; this new version is supported by in-game advertising. Pixel Magick’s founder, David Greenberg said “This is a great way to distribute mobile phone games, the players get free games, we get advertising revenue and the advertisers get their adverts to their customers through the one piece of technology that almost everyone carries around with them 24/7.”

Wordsnake AD uses Greystripes patent-pending AdWRAP technology to deliver adverts to the user’s mobile phone. The game itself is free, although the user may incur normal carrier costs to download the game and subsequent advertising.

Wordsnake AD is available through the Pixel Magick website at http://www.pixelmagick.com, as well as http://www.gamejump.com and http://www.getjar.com. The original advert free version of Wordsnake remains available through the Pixel Magick website and other portals.

Pixel Magick was founded by David Greenberg as a team of programmers, artists, game designers and musicians for the Dare to be Digital competition run by the University of Abertay Dundee in Scotland, where he was studying and achieved a first class honours degree in Games Development and a Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship.

Pixel Magick develops games for other companies as well as developing their own game concepts.
