  1. do you guys have a karmann ghia 1972 LED kit

  2. Correct. Both are late model Bs and should both have the same tail lamp lens as the black car. The minor difference between the two lenses would have been no more than 1% different. The early type tail lamp was preferred for the white MGB- a personal preference. Both the late and early type lenses with the corresponding LED setup work far superior to the original tail lamps- this has been proven as can be seen in this video. Essentially, this will not effect Brightness, ONLY appearance.

It looks like the white B has the early style tail-light lenses, and the black B has the later style. (see the screw in the middle of the lens on the black car, is absent on the white car) They should both have the the late style, btw. Don’t know how this would affect relative brightness though.

  4. They are identical cars manufactured within 6 months of each other. Both of them had good batteries and we ran the black car (NON-LED) to allow it to charge and brighten up. The standard (black) MGB brightness was normal. With identical plastic lens designs, the LEDs would have had an even better advantage. One of the reasons this test was so good was that the L.E.D.s had a slight disadvantage.

Changing out the tail-light style on one car makes it apples and oranges.
