Jan. 14, 2009 (China Knowledge) – Hong Kong-listed Sino Union Petroleum & Chemical International Ltd<346> said its executive chairman Hui Chi Ming lifted his stake in the company to 62.04% from the previous 61.84%.

According to the statistics from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEx), Hui Chi Ming spent approximately HK$10 million in acquisition of 11.77 million shares in the company on Jan. 6. The chairman bought the 11.77 million shares at an average price of HK$0.847 apiece.

After the deal, Hui Chi Ming would hold about 3.74 billion shares in Sino Union Petroleum & Chemical.
