Replace This Disgrace is a free to enter competition courtesy of electrical retailer Comet, inviting anyone in the UK to make and submit a funny video of their old and embarrassing TV, video recorder (Betamax anyone?), or “ice age” freezer, explaining why they feel shamed by it. The video entries will be then voted for by the public with one winner being found for each of three categories: Home Entertainment, Kitchen Appliances and Computer and Laptop. The lucky winners will receive up to £1500 worth of electrical equipment in their categories, supplied and installed in their homes by Comet – with the old disgraceful item taken away for recycling. The competition closes at midnight on July 31, 2009.
